In 2022, we were frustrated about how hard it was to make outdoorsy friends. We also noticed that very few other apps harness the power of technology to cultivate and expand the outdoor community.
So we decided to build the social platform for the outdoors, and Outerly was born.
Our mission is simple: to connect people to nature and to each other.
We believe in the power of getting offline and outside, no matter where you live, to improve mental health and meet like-minded people.
To do this, we’re building the largest community of outdoor enthusiasts in the world, starting with our home city, Washington, DC.
